Audubon Aquarium Nominated as One of Nation's Best
For the ninth year in a row, Audubon Aquarium has received a nomination in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Award competition. The Aquarium was selected by a team of professional travel experts that researched all the nation’s aquariums before making their nominations for the recognition. Last year, Audubon Aquarium ranked as the fifth most popular in the country.
Audubon Aquarium recently underwent a major $41 million renovation including the addition of Audubon Insectarium, opening the new Life in the Gulf area to allow guests access to the huge Gulf of Mexico exhibit, new free-flying birds and an Amazon Encounters area that is home to a Linneaus two-toed sloth.
Voting is easy and is now underway. People can vote once a day through May 13th to show their support for their Audubon Aquarium.

All of the nominees for USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards for Top Aquarium are accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Recently, Audubon Zoo was ranked by USA Today’s readers as the nation’s seventh most popular Zoo. Woldenberg Riverfront Park was nominated in the competition for the first time this year, results of that competition will be released later this week.
