Audubon Zoo Celebrates Family Free Day for Taylor Scholars

Louisiana students who have received Taylor Scholar awards can celebrate their good grades with their families at Audubon Zoo on Thursday, August 3, 2023.

Taylor Scholars are invited to bring up to four guests with them and enjoy a complimentary visit to Audubon Zoo on the annual Taylor Family Free Day. With their Taylor Card, Taylor Students and Scholars also receive discounts on purchases at Audubon gift shops and concessions.

The Taylor Scholars Awards Program is a statewide program that rewards students in grades six through 12 with a GPA of 2.5 or higher with complimentary access to Audubon Zoo, Audubon Aquarium, Audubon Insectarium and New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA).  During the 2022-2023 academic year, more than 240,000 students from across the state were recognized for academic excellence with these awards.

Through the Taylor Scholars Awards Program, the Patrick F. Taylor Foundation strives to encourage young people to excel in the classroom. The Taylor Scholars Awards Program was created in partnership with the Patrick  F. Taylor Foundation and was designed to provide motivation and incentive to achieve academic success.   A generous donation established the program and has allowed Audubon Nature Institute and NOMA to continue to recognize students across Louisiana for their hard work.
