Audubon Zoo Nominated as One of Nation's Best
Audubon Zoo has been nominated as one of the nation’s best zoos and is asking for your support in this year’s voting. This is the ninth year in a row that Audubon Zoo has been nominated in USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice Award contest. Last year, Audubon Zoo was ranked as the seventh most popular zoo in the country by voters in the competition and hopes to move even higher in the voting this year.
Voting is easy and is now underway. Anyone can vote once a day through March 10, 2025 to show their support for Audubon Zoo.

“Being nominated as one of the country’s top zoos is a tremendous honor,” said Michael J. Sawaya, Audubon Nature Institute President, CEO and L. Ronald Forman Chair in Conservation Leadership. “For the past nine years, Audubon Zoo has been recognized among the best in the U.S. and we are grateful for the continued support.”
All of the nominees for USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards for Top Zoo are accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (“AZA”) and are selected by an expert panel of travel professionals for inclusion in the competition. Audubon’s family of attractions are consistently considered among the nation’s best in this contest. In last year’s voting, Audubon Aquarium was ranked the nation’s second Most Popular Aquarium, and Woldenberg Riverfront Park came in second in voting for Best Riverwalk attraction.
Winners will be announced on the 10Best website on March 10, 2025, then later on the USA TODAY website. For information about the contest, http://www.10best.com/awards/travel/.
