Get ready to Boo! Tickets are now on sale for family-filled Halloween fun at the annual Boo at the Zoo benefitting Manning Family Children’s and Audubon Zoo presented by Keesler Federal. This daytime event combines Halloween activities with favorite animals and experiences at Audubon Zoo. Boo at the Zoo is October 16 through 18, 2026.

This year, there is something new designed just for the littlest ghosts and goblins to enjoy the event without the weekend crowds –at a cost savings and later 6:30 p.m. closing time. Friday October 16, 2026, is being dubbed “Li’l Boo” and features activities and events just for the youngest trick-or-treaters. It will conclude with a special movie at twilight at the Zoo’s Capitol One stage.

All three days of Boo at the Zoo will feature special Halloween activities, animal presentations, and trick-or-treating for those 12 and under during regular Audubon Zoo operating hours (10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.). The last entry tickets are sold at 4:00 p.m. to allow guests time to experience all the fun. Guests are invited to wear their favorite costumes to enjoy the festivities, however grown-ups are asked to leave the mask wearing to the children.

Boo at the Zoo tickets are now on sale, and buying tickets in advance will allow guests to save money by purchasing tickets early. Early Bird pricing for Boo at the Zoo is available until September 8, 2026 and offers the lowest prices for tickets to the event. Those who purchase tickets September 8 through October 4, 2026, will qualify for advance ticket pricing as well. Regular ticket pricing is available starting October 5, 2026, right up until the events start.

Prices vary depending on Boo date selected. General admission ticket prices range from $27 to $38, Audubon All-Access and Zoo Only Member prices range from $10 to $14. Tickets for those who receive SNAP benefits are $8 regardless of date.

“We want everyone in our community to have the opportunity to have fun while connecting with and learning about nature. We’re grateful to our partners at Manning Family Children’s and Keesler Federal for helping make this annual celebration possible. Boo at the Zoo gives us the chance to engage guests of all ages, inspire a deeper appreciation for the animals in our care, and share simple ways they can help protect wildlife and their habitats in the wild,” said Michael J. Sawaya, Audubon Nature Institute CEO.

Trick-or-treat stations will be set up throughout the Zoo. Guests can learn why picking sweet treats made with sustainable palm oil is important to protecting a favorite Zoo animal in the wild. Some palm oil is harvested in areas where orangutans live, and unsustainable cutting of forests for palm oil can destroy their habitat and threaten the survival of the species. Candy in the Zoo’s trick-or-treat houses will only have candy made from sustainably sourced palm oil.

Boo at the Zoo benefits the work of both Audubon Nature Institute and Manning Family Children’s.

“Generations of families continue to enjoy making memories together at the annual Boo at the Zoo, and we are proud of the partnership between Manning Family Children’s and Audubon Zoo that brings this event to the community,” said Lucio A. Fragoso, President and CEO of Manning Family Children’s.

Kessler Federal returns in 2026 as Presenting Sponsor of Boo at the Zoo.  “We are excited to continue our commitment to this iconic New Orleans event and to support the important work of both Audubon Zoo and Manning Family Children’s. Their dedication to the children of our community, along with their focus on educating and inspiring young people about the wonders of nature, is meaningful to all of us,” said Andy Swoger, President and CEO of Keesler Federal.

Tickets are required for both Audubon Members and non-members. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at AudubonZoo.com/boo.
