Scales & Ales Sparkles at Audubon Aquarium
Audubon Aquarium is celebrating marine conservation and rescue efforts this year at its popular evening fundraising event, Scales & Ales. Friday, November 7, 2025, marks its 13th year. With live entertainment and festive cocktails, some of the city’s premiere restaurants will showcase their culinary skills – including award-winning Japanese cuisine from NOBU, Scales & Ales is a sparkling evening along the riverfront.
This year’s event at Audubon Aquarium and Insectarium will provide guests with an immersive after-hours experience at the popular riverfront venues as well as raise money to support Audubon Aquarium Rescue and other conservation and healthy ocean initiatives. In 2025, Audubon Aquarium Rescue has so far rehabilitated and released 28 endangered sea turtles, responded to a dolphin stranding in Grand Isle, and assisted in beach sweeps and educational outreach across the state. Funds raised through Scales & Ales will help with transportation, veterinary care, and critical supplies needed for the rescue team to continue its important work.
"We are extremely proud of the work the Audubon Aquarium Rescue team does to rescue and rehabilitate marine mammals and sea turtles across Louisiana,” said Rich Toth, Senior Vice President and Director of Audubon Aquarium. “We respond to multiple calls for assistance with sea turtles, dolphins, and even the occasional manatee sighting, and cover the entire Louisiana coastline. Support for this vital program is crucial to ensuring its continued success.”
As they enjoy the best regional cuisine and beverages, guests will enjoy live music from headliner Few Blue, strolling encounters with the Sirens of New Orleans, along with stunning views of the Mississippi River, and access to tour both the Aquarium and Insectarium.
Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online at www.ScalesAndAles.org. Audubon Aquarium and Insectarium will close at 2:00 p.m. on November 7, 2025, to prepare for the event.
Please note: This is an adult-only (21+) event; babies and children will not be admitted. The event will occur rain or shine. Dress code is dressy casual attire.
