Audubon Aquarium's Scales & Ales Returns This Fall

Tickets Help Support Sea Turtles

Tickets are now on sale for Audubon Aquarium’s popular Scales & Ales event which will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 at the newly renovated Audubon Aquarium. Partygoers will help support sea turtles and celebrate Audubon Coastal Wildlife Network’s sea turtle conservation efforts with their ticket purchase. This year is the 11th Scales & Ales, and the first to be celebrated in the Aquarium’s imaginatively transformed space.

After a three-year hiatus during COVID-19 and attraction renovations, Scales & Ales returns as one of the highlights of New Orleans’ fall social season. Guests will enjoy a festive night filled with live entertainment, beer from local breweries, wine, specialty cocktails, and delicious cuisine from local restaurants. Highlights include the enchanting sights and sounds of the Aquarium and the new Audubon Insectarium on the New Orleans riverfront after dark.

Since 2010, Scales & Ales has raised nearly a million dollars for Audubon’s education and conservation programs. This is always a sell-out event and admission is limited, so purchasing tickets in advance is recommended.  The party runs from 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Sales & Ales tickets are $100 for general admission, $85 for Audubon members. Patron tickets are $150.  Patron and Sponsor tickets also include early admission. Patrons and Sponsors can access Scales & Ales at 7:00 p.m.  All tickets can be purchased online at http://scalesandales.org/ For more information on Sponsor packages, call 504-861-5107.

Audubon Coastal Wildlife Network is led by Audubon Nature Institute and is NOAA Fisheries’ primary stranding network response partner for marine mammals and sea turtles in Louisiana. ACWN is committed to the humane care and treatment of injured, ill, or displaced marine animals in Louisiana and is the only entity in the state responsible for the rehabilitation of live marine mammals and sea turtles. The information ACWN collects from stranded animals provides a snapshot into the health of the marine environment and provides a better understanding of threats to marine mammals and sea turtles in the wild.
